Effective visitor followup is the most important outreach method in the church. Visitors that come to your church probably know someone there, or are searching for something, to hear the word of God. Each visit increases the chance they’ll come back and go to the altar.
The welcome they receive at your church is extremely important.
1. The pastor or someone who is designated by the pastor should call them the day after the first visit,
2. A personal letter from the pastor welcoming them to the church,
3. A personal visit in the first few weeks of their visit.
4. A monthly church bulletin or special activity should also be sent.
